I have access to wiring diagrams for any vehicle available in North American 1983-present. Sometimes I can cross it over to Rest Of World cars. If you need schematics for anything, feel free to email me. alandaeric at hotmail dot com

DONE/DOING LIST

ITS DEAD

Tried to start the truck the other day, no rpm signal, no fuel pump activity (untill I hit the brake pedal, then it wouldnt shut off) nothing working as far as I could tell. Put the ecu on my test bench, everything powers up and looks fine, all the sensors read properly, I can upload firmware, everything looks ok untill I try and do an mdh command. I noticed the fuel pump channel doesnt turn on. Tried some other channels, none of the P259 channels work at all, all the I259 and S259 channels are always grounded, mdh does nothing. All this happened after I uploaded the 1.0.23 firmware. The truck was running before but it was barely able to stay running, and was gradually getting worse but that may be related to playing with some settings. I reloaded 1.0.18 again. I can load my config and tables everything no problem so I assume the firmware side of things is all in tact. I went out to the truck to check the wiring, found 1 wire ripped out of ecu, the EC36 pin 26 ground wire. Now what?

IT RUNS!!!

After months, no, make that years (since before v2.2 came out)of researching, I finally could not wait so I botched together a fuel pump system, installed my wire harness, plugged my v3.3 in and hit the key. Fuel pump running, smell fuel in the engine, but nothing. Then I turned the fuel pump off and cranked for a while figureing it was just flooded when KABOOM, I was sure my exhaust was dust, too bad for it. Shifted the firing order 180 degrees and add a touch throttle and vrooom. Ran like crap but stayed running as long as I kept a touch of throttle. Need to move it now from the front yard onto the driveway so I can weld up the O2 bung and start tuning.

Will this VFD work easily??

It's a serial VFD, it will not work. You need a paralell interface with a 44080 compatible command set. Note that VFD displays often have small incompatibilities with LCD displays even if they are listed as LCD compatible.
