I have access to wiring diagrams for any vehicle available in North American 1983-present. Sometimes I can cross it over to Rest Of World cars. If you need schematics for anything, feel free to email me. alandaeric at hotmail dot com

DONE/DOING LIST

IT RUNS!!!

After months, no, make that years (since before v2.2 came out)of researching, I finally could not wait so I botched together a fuel pump system, installed my wire harness, plugged my v3.3 in and hit the key. Fuel pump running, smell fuel in the engine, but nothing. Then I turned the fuel pump off and cranked for a while figureing it was just flooded when KABOOM, I was sure my exhaust was dust, too bad for it. Shifted the firing order 180 degrees and add a touch throttle and vrooom. Ran like crap but stayed running as long as I kept a touch of throttle. Need to move it now from the front yard onto the driveway so I can weld up the O2 bung and start tuning.

1 concern I noticed that I was concerned about before I started was the map sensor. I am using a Honda map sensor, changing to a different one is an option but I would like to avoid it if possible. The lowest map reading I got when I let the throttle plate shut was around 76 kpa, I kind of expected something lower, is this "normalish" considering how bad it is running etc.?

Will this VFD work easily??

It's a serial VFD, it will not work. You need a paralell interface with a 44080 compatible command set. Note that VFD displays often have small incompatibilities with LCD displays even if they are listed as LCD compatible.
