GenBoard/Manual/WideBandDualWboHardware

If a certain VEMS ECU is ordered with "Dual WBO2 requested" (option, or order comment), this should NOT be needed.

Provided for reference (during some debug/diagnostics, or if converting an old device ordered without Dual WBO2).

For calibrating the sensor(s), see DualWidebandCalibration

2nd WBO2 hardware channel on v3.x. Verification of this doc is in progress, use GenBoard/VerThree/Schematic for now.

Problem: When I bench test/calibrate:

I notice the second heater stops heating when the pump- to nernst goes positive (when it normally goes to 450mV).

Thoughts on this? I'm using 2 resistors ( pump- 100 Ohm nernst 100 Ohm pump+), as outlined in the Hardware Test page.

Calibration data with 2 100 ohm and 2 95 ohm (didn't have through hole 100ohm left)

I'll document the process similar to GenBoard/Manual/WideBandHardwareTest once I understand what I'm missing with this dual wideband testing.

First we review your actual configuration

  • Hi, as I understand you are modifying existing vems board, have you guys removed solderblobs for wheelspeed 1 and knock 1, I remember I had some bad experience when was trying to make second wb working, those were the problem. Valdas. And btw, you seem to be missing c26 in your list of modifications.
  • C26 didn't help the problem
  • Already took care of the solderblobs for knock/wheelspeed and the one for second wbo2. I need to add that SJ18 (bottom side) to my picture.

I usually use this document: http://www.vems.hu/wiki/index.php?page=GenBoard%2FManual%2FWBSensorControllerCompleting

have you removed solder blob which puts ec18-17 to constant ground? I'll be converting one ecu to dual lambda one in few days, will check what was missing there.

PS, captcha stuff seems to be throwing error on chrome browser.

btw, you need to remove solderblob for wheelspeed and for knock, then it can be used.
