I'm using a BMW M20 6 cylinder engine simular to MembersPage/GergelyLezsak

It uses the following sensors and injectors:

I took the camshaft cover off and restarted the primarytrigger calculation.

It seems to me that tooth 15 is under the VR sensor when cilinder 1 is at TDC. With the two missing teeth just in front of the TDC mark.

360 divided by 60 gives 6 degrees per tooth. => 14 times 6 = 84 degrees after the rising edge of tooth one.

When I trigger at tooth 5, TCD of cilinder 5 is 78 - 2 =76 degrees after that. Next TDC event is at 240 degrees crankangle. 60 divided by 3 is 20 tooth later. Next trigger event should be 25 when the first trigger event is at tooth 5.

Based on this my primary trigger settings should be:

But that doesn't comply with what I've seen at other maps from people with the same engine.

Especially the next trigger tooth is different.

I also don't really understands what is ment by angular width of tooth. Is this 360/60=6 degrees or the actual tooth width which is approx 2 degrees.

I've connected the ICV, fuelpump and cleaned up some wiring. It's running now but seems to have some trigger errors. Rpm is jumping between 30 and 3000. I'll get to that this friday.

If that's fixed I'll try to get it running at idle.

It runs but I still haven't connected the ICV. It's realy rich according to lambda readings but it's nice to hear it run again.

I still have to check all readings because I don't trust them jet. Hopefully I'll have time to do that next.
