I have completed the VEMS board version 3.2 and am trying to get Megatunix (on win XP) to communicate with it. I have not been able to do so.

Megatunix 0.7.0 for Win32 will not communicate with my board. I changed the comm. Port to Com1, 2 and up to 5 but no success (what is the real port that works with other programs? That should be the one to use). I downloaded a different version on Megatunix but same result, no comms.

Other programs are able to communicate via serial port to the board.

The Termination program brings a Hallo after typing “Man” and a bye after “bye”.

The Megatune Version 2.25 program sees the board but brings a message saying the checksum is wrong. (that itself causes no problem, tuning the 3 tables and warmup should still be possible, but do some testing, check with mcd)

I have followed the steps as outlined in Memberpages/JohanEriksson/VerThreeFirmForDummies and also Megatunix. (does that mean you use a CVS firmware not a released one ?)

The Glade runtime program (Win 32 2.6.4-rc3 ) is also installed.

What else can I do to get the Megatunix to talk to my board?

Should I just try to get Megatune to work and not bother wit Megatunix?

There is significant activity to make MegaTune compatibility better, tuning appr. 5..6 cars is planned for this weekend in 3 countries.

So it will be a tight race. But either should work with the 3 tables, warmup, cranking and afterstart settings.

Let's see if the firmware version helps.

Please provide links in the report where you downloaded the ini/datamap files. I guess the releases will need to be more formal, it's hard to follow at the moment.
