This feature avaliable from Firmware 1.1.80

Injector Angle Curve can be found at Motorsports menu in VemsTune.

To disable this function just set all delay in the curve to zero.

To enjoy all advantage of this feature you need to have secondary trigger.

Injector actuation can be delayed from trigger tooth to maximum 510 degree depends by Injector Angle curve.

This feature only avaliable to Primary injectors ( Staging injectors can not be delayed ).

The injector stop moments are tunable, but the minimum injector start moment is at trigger tooth.

So if you set bigger injector pulse width then delay, the injection starts at trigger tooth and stops when PW time elapsed ( like staging ).

Suggested value for new installs is between 350 and 510 degree.

Let see some example:

Ch1 ( first line ) is injector 0 Ch2 ( second line ) is injector 4 (staging so not delayed)

Engine speed = 1000 rpm so Full cycle(720 deg) = 120ms

Injector 0 pulse width = 10 ms

Injector angle = 0 deg

inj_0deg.jpg

Engine speed = 1000 rpm so Full cycle(720 deg) = 120ms

Injector 0 pulse width = 10 ms

Injector angle = 90 deg calculated delay = 15ms

inj_90deg.jpg

Engine speed = 1000 rpm so Full cycle(720 deg) = 120ms

Injector 0 pulse width = 10 ms

Injector angle = 46 deg calculated delay = 7.66 ms but it lower then PW so the injector stop will at 10 ms

The injection end-angle is tunable from Firmware 1.1.80.

To disable this function use 720 degree everywhere.

Question

Always set 720 deg for all channels when no camsync (injector angle adjustment requires camsync).
Changed:
I'd like to try this feature out, but don't see the settings listed under Motorsports. The latest VT does not seem to include a 1.1.80.ini file. How can i make these settings available?
For this feature secondary trigger (camsync) is needed.

The injector angle curve shows the injecting end angle before TDC. (assuming the injector outputs match the relevant ignition output).

Injector actuation can be set from 210 to 720 degree before trigger tooth depends by Injector Angle curve. (lower than 210 is possible by rotating the injector output table, eg. by -180 deg or -120 deg for 4/6 cyls. But it matters little anyway to inject on closed valve or closed valve).

This feature is only avaliable to Primary injectors ( Staging injectors can not be delayed ).

The injector stop moments are tunable, but the minimum injector start moment is at trigger tooth.

If injector pulse width is higher then the configured delay, the injection starts at trigger tooth (not earlier), so the injector end-angle gets somewhat delayed.

* This happens above appr 60% injector duty with injendangle=288 setting

* or above 93% injector duty with injendangle=48 setting (for a 6 cyl this is actually 288 deg after rotating injector outputs by 2 positions, = 2*120=240 deg). But it matters little anyway to inject on closed valve or a closed valve

Suggested value for new installs is between 210 and 370 degree BTDC.
