- I use the built in ignition IGBT of the Genboard 3.6 and the orig coils of the M50B25 in a wasted spark config.(also known as dual spark setup i belive)
- VEMS Genboard 3.6, Custom adapter-harness from Vems-->Motronic 88. (built it my self)
(No wiring needed, just remove your motronic/siemens ECU and mount the harness and Vems ECU.
Where did you buy the motronic-88 male connector ? Does it have a codename or Tyco product number ? Is it wire-wire or wire-board (mount-on-PCB) type connector ?
- I took the connector from orig ECU that came with my car.
Looking for engine constants settings parameters for the M50 non-Vanos.
- Trigger settings: upload standard M20 60-2 6 cyl configlet from primary trigger dialog:
- trigger_tooth around 4 with ign_tdcdelay~60 degrees (but strobe anyway)
- I did my config myself with a bit of trial and error. Tuned to about 240kpa now with good economics on light load and good performance on high load. Pretty sure there's more power to gain with a bit more tuning, but i'm pretty pleased right now. Tire slip on 3rd gear when putting the hammer down.(dry road, 265/40/17 eagle F1 tire and LSD diff.)
