- 2005-08-10 - Possible fried injector driver
- on Werners volvo 140, with 2.5 ohm injectors with PWM activated, 40% 1.5 ms pwmt
- After a wiring problem (ground or flyback) and upgraded MAP - sensor, we got strange lean misfires at higher load/pulsewidths, these problems was moved up in boost level with a raised injpwmt, but does not fix the problem (tried as high as 15mS for a short moment, to never get into PWM mode..). We have probably fried something, should i start measuring somewhere? Or change all FET-drivers and FET's that are involved ?
First, try to test for connected flyback
- check connected GND5 (measure ohm between GND5 and battery-. Measure voltage between GND5 and GND when 5..10W 12V lightbulb lit through an output: eg. through an injector connector and relevant mdh.0 command, according to the h[0] table). It sounds like you still don't have GND5 connected, and it's supplied through GND (very BAD !). This is the most likely reason when injectors seem to work when injectors are not overlapping, and fail when injector signals are active in an overlapping way (injector duty > 1/ncyl)
- verify flyback: DVM, diode mode between the 2 pins of the harness injector connector (check for every injector connector)
- check all outputs with 5..10W 12V lightbulb and mdh.. commands.

- possible solutions:
- Developers are working on making firmware report load instead of the current kpa
- If you are running alpha-n only and not hybrid mode, its possible to modify vemsv3.ini to show TPS in the realtime tuning, write here or memberspage if you need help.

- LCD Display works with genboard powered, engine not started, but after the engine is started, it stops working, sometimes blank, sometimes full of rubbish

- Will try a capacitor between VCC and GND on the display-side
