There was a lot of hassle with the install, turned out to be VR noise, easily solved with shielded VR-cable (after lotsof other ineffective effort and blaming the ECU).

The symptom was:

* a certain ECU was not working but another (or even 2 other) ECU with similar setup and same config was working. The ECU was blamed (it was uncertain that it might have been damaged in the field before, but it passed tests and reacted well to all inputs and activated outputs properly).

It turned out that the VR input signal was quite noisy.

* In case of excessive VR noise it might be pure luck

* shielded VR cable (instead of simple wire) solved it

** because in the case of 36-1 wheels (especially Ford and some Mercedes) the missing tooth often has greater amplitude than the normal tooth, greater R181 (280k instead of 150k) the modification to accept more tooth-amplitude variance (naturally) might even make it even more susceptible to noise.

** Some (1k-ish) pulldown might sometimes help, but a good VR signal with shielded cable is always welcome

** even if the factory harness used simple wires for trigger: the factory harness might be made in a way that any offending signal is guaranteed to be away and some GND-s or other wires are arranged around the trigger signal to minimize interference. Same cannot be guaranteed with custom harness.

Use shielded cable for VR signal, with minimum 2 wires inside. The shield only connected at the ECU side.

A 36-1 -es jelkerekek (Ford, Mercedes) ?tlagosn?l rosszabbak ilyen t?ren (?s az R181 n?vel?s?bel, hogy nagyobb fogelt?r?st is kib?rjon, m?g k?nyesebb lett a zajra; j? jellel term?szetesen j?l műk?dik).

A 60-2 -esek ?ltal?ban jobbak. De a tiszta jel ott is kell, ?s az ignition vagy WBO2 heater vagy egy?b jel belesz?lhat kapacit?ve a VR trigger inputba ha nincs ?rny?kolva.

Nehez?t?s, hogy b?rmilyen apr? v?ltoz?s (ak?r hőm?rs?klet is) vagy m?dos?t?s ronthat vagy jav?that, de nehezen felt?rk?pezhető.

Lehet, hogy a VR jelen egy 1k k?r?li leh?z?ellen?ll?s is mutatott volna javul?st, de az ?rny?kolt k?bel a legjobb (az ?rny?kol?s csak az egyik oldalon bek?tve j?, lehetőleg csak az ECU oldalon. Teh?t GND-nek az ?rny?kolt k?belen bel?l is kell futnia, mely viszont mindk?t oldalon be van k?tve).
