8.2. RS232 Interface

8.2.1. Operation

The RS232 serial interface is used for communications between the Genboard module and a computer.

8.2.2. Wiring

Before communication between the Genboard module and a PC can be established the following wiring must be done. The DSUB9 connector must be a female connector, don't worry too much about the length, it can be extended with a stock DSUB9 extention cable.

  • EC18-pin14 to DSUB9-pin3
  • EC18-pin15 to DSUB9-pin2
  • EC18-pin26 to DSUB9-pin5 (GND)
