Questions: 5/11-05.
I have a problem with the LCD screen.
The 9p sub d connector to the LCD had a bad connection or short-circuit so I cant get any numbers on the display now (worked well before)
What and how to check ?
- Dam the coil was defect so I ordered a new to day and the car started at once
When the car runs at ca.4000 rpm or boost at low RPM it starts to misfire. I have connected a LED and can see some change in the light when it happens. Dwell is best with 1 ms if I add more the problem get worse.
MatinFrank had the same problem and never got it fixed, so anyone has any suggestion?

- Note ignchmax is 02 but must be 03 4 cyl. I think, can I change It from Megatune .. Yes, ignchmax should be 03 for 4cyl. Refer to my config if you have trouble, I run a VW 1.8 8v with wasted spark like you.

tiny little spark at the plug "sometimes "
- I have made a mix connection so i can switch be twin the org. Bosch ecu =
- mixed connections are very hard to get right and usually cause a lot of problems.
Coil specs
from a standard Ford Fiesta wasted spark (edis). Should work well.
Measured the coil:
- Pin 1-2 = 0,5 ohm (pin1 is for cyl 1-4)
- Pin 2-3 = 0,5 ohm (pin3 is for cyl 2-3)
- Pin1-3 = 1,0 ohm (this is the sum of 0.5 + 0.5 Ohm)
- secondary winding resistance= ... kOhm
Please note that according to above measurements pin2 is the common +supply of the coil. On pin2 you want a switched +12V connected through a 10A fuse.
- does the "tiny spark happens on cyl1,4 or cyl2,3 ?
- There is a tiny spark on both the coils 1-4 2-3
- did you check the HV wires ?
- Yes .Also triad to ignite with out the wire
- try to make new connections to the coil. Make sure there is absolutely nothing else connected that should not be! (like alien ECU outputs).
- The output is tested with a light diode and working well
- measure coil supply current in 10A or 20A DC current mode (and take note of RPM and dwell values). See the text for the 0.1 Ohm resistor (in WebShop) for how to measure coil supply current.
- Tried to connect direct to my lab power plant and the current is 4 amp voltage drop down to 9-10 V . This is a very bad idea, the 4A current-limit of the lab supply probably saved the coil. Don't do this!!!
NEVER EVER connect the coil directly to 12V !!!. This is likely to damage the coil. The coil must be connected to 8..14V for 1..5msec (dwell) and than switched off (this is what the ECM does: you cannot do this manually), so the coil (actually, transformer is the correct name) releases it's energy via a spark (over the gap) on the secondary (High Voltage=HV)side.
- in any case, you need to document firmware version and config and link to it from the question !!!!
Wbo2 calibration
Is not possible calibrate the Wbo2 to 20,9 . When I change to wbo2_calibration=FF (= 255 decimal) the results become afr 20,1 and it not possible to go any higher.
Solution was: bad config value wbo2_pump_pid_ki=01 changed to 64. with too low integral the WBO2 pump PID could not output high enough current to reach 0.45V between nernst and pump-.
- btw, measure RCal (resistance between sensor pin2 and pin6)
