7.2. Wiring

It is highly recommended that all wiring is done with 0.75mm2 or 1.0mm2 wire (16-18 AWG). It is not easy, but possible to mount 1.5mm2 wires in the Econoseal connectors.

It is very important that the Econoseal connector is assmbled correctly. The connectors must be crimped as shown in Figure 7.1, “Crimped Econoseal plug”. If not assembled correctly it is very likely that water or moisture will ruin the connection over time. It is possible to remove the individual pins from the housing in case a pin has been mounted incorrectly. It is very crutial that the locking plate is not mounted until it has been decided that the wiring is finished - it almost impossible to remove the locking plate once it has been fitted.

It is vital that all fuses displayed in the wiring diagrams are actually present at ALL times, especially during testing! Failing to use the correct fusees is very dangerous to you and Genboard.
