Due to some interfering issues I left this page and the project aside for a while. Next is a new project:

BMW E12 M30B35 engine from an E34 '88 currently controlled with standard motronic and running great. However I want more control and learn more about engine management systems.

I installed a vaporized injection LPG system with Keihin injectors based on a master slave principle. Hence my interest in the new firmware release with dual mapping capabilities.

For testing and development purposes I would like to create a break out box which I can put between VEMS and the wire-loom. My only concern would be the increased length of the GND's VR signal wire. Can anybody confirm this or add any idea's??

These are commonly used :

VEMS Genboard3A It actually draws a couple of hundre mA, but this is the smallest automotive fuse commonly found in gas stations
