What we have at the moment is: BMW 325iX with stock M20B25 (inline 6 cyl) engine planned to be turbocharged, but before it the GenBoard v3.x should take its place on the car.
As I am not an electronics expert, any help from others who have successfuly managed to install Genboard on their cars will be appreciated!
As we have a spare engine, while studying / installing Genboard these changes will be made on it and later it will be installed on the car in the place of the stock engine:
- larger 440cc low impendance injectors (available at the moment);
- head porting, slight combustion chamber changes;
- custom inlet, outlet manifolds;
- lighter valve retainers, rods, flywheel etc.;
- electronic ignition (maybe from some Audi V6 engine); try to choose it so you know that logic-level or power ignition outputs are needed: this is an option of the [assembled controller]
- wasted spark module is recommended
- turbocharger (still not chosen, nor purchased).
Shopping cart:
- 1 x Assembled v3.3 controller
- ignition driver: 6+2; (this means 6 power outputs, 3 or 6 of which you apparently plan to use; and 2 logic-level - these will be unused)
- Knock and EGT: yes;
- LCD and PS2: no;
- MAP connection: 250kPa onboard;
- primary_trigger: VR;
- secondary_trigger: HALL input should be fine, usually not used for this engine
- 1 x EC36-harness
- 1 x EC18-harness
- 1 x Wideband O2 sensor
- 1 x WBO2 connector
- 1 x EGT sensor would come handy

Q: is M20B25 stock 60-2 VR crank-trigger suitable for wasted spark?
