This is a checklist of everything needed to be done to use GenBoard. It might make sense to split this into different sections.
Download winavr
Download cvs
Download perl
Download bray terminal
Download getfirm
Download firmware from cvs
if (need bootloader) {
compile bootloader
make parallel port isp cable
load bootloader with avrdude }
if not using prog.pl, download avrstudio to get Avrprog.exe
setup my_make
Compile code
Wire up serial port connection
Wire up keyboard
connect LCD display
connect power
perform powerup and comm tests
install flyback parts
install any other parts, i.e. hall,wbo2
