This topic has started as request assistance with buy to choose all options correctly.

However I will need probably more assistance so would like also share gained information with others to help with further installations.

Goal: Fit VEMS to control BMW M62B44(no Vanos) modified engine but still natural aspirated.

hint: when installing, make it separate page for each project (to avoid disambiguaty)

Stock M62 parameters:

  • V8
  • DOHC without VANOS
  • STOCK ECU BOSCH DME M5.2
  • Fully sequential injection
  • 8 coils "passive"
  • ABS ring wheel speed signal (direct)
  • Idle : ZWD "idle speed is controlled on the M62 engine by means of a two-winding rotary actuator"

Alternatively request "200 mm long flanged box".

Either to fit 16 IGBT-s inside ECU, or 2 complete VEMS ECU-s (also provides redundancy)

Displacement changed to 4734cc

Injectors 257 cc/min 12ohm (Stock S62)

Firing order 1-5-4-8-6-3-7-2

I have decide to change case as there was lot of components connected by flying looms.

Case: GAINTA G 0478

X:190,5mm;Y:190,5mm;Z:66,5mm ALU
