VemsTune Suggestions, some are already implimented:

Simple Keystrokes. Autronic is by far easiest.

General:

Can you give a more detailed info of the scenario

Connection bug: The connection lost randomly in about 1-5 minutes, and the gauges starts "jumping".I'm using 1.1.54 non-PS2 firmware, with VEMSTUNE_2009.05.27, with windows XP eng, and the USB-RS232 adapter from webshop, with acer aspire dualcore laptop. -Fero

VemsTune log

When playing a log in VT it would be nice if we could move the slider left right fore quick playback of an episode in the log.

short key bug

When opening Ign table the short key “W” due not seams to work.

  • I have the same problem(0.9.85)

SD card readout

"SD card overview extended" is only supported in latest (1.1.53 or 54?) firmware that makes entry for each startup (as if data were in different files, still can be read as a sequence of blocks though).

Upload stuff without using any menu-s

An installer says: "When a customer has problems I like to be able to send finished mtt files to him, these can then be sent with command line tools or if he has communication problems I help him with bray over the phone"

Finished files make a lot of sense. It was planned that one would send project file, where the RIGHT firmware and/or config can be uploaded with 1..2 clicks (not lost in menu-s).

Vemstune (or an equivalent .exe or .pif or .bat tool in the same dir) must be verified to work with .vemscfg or .vemsproject file as command line argument. Drag'n'drop file onto running vemstune or it's icon should preferrably do the same.

Note that the vemstune over the network will be very useful in many cases, but dealers still need a way to prepare project / vemscfg files (in a documented way!) that can be uploaded extremely quickly (without using menu-s) by a computer-illiterate child supported over the phone.
