Boostcontrol setup

(apparently inconsistent, needs clarification by filling above wiring)

"nice product you have. I have successfully set up analog 2 input from a 2 bar MAP sensor controlling a switch"

* "I want to adjust the boost based on the Analogin input 1 signal i.e AFR, so i and setting Boost out, and i set the PID to and the set point i want target"

** I don't understand that. AFR (as used in VemsTune) is 14.7 * the lambda measured from the LSU4.2 (or recently optionally LSU4.9) sensor DIRECTLY connected to roundv2.

** please clarify: "MAP sensor is connected to analog 2 input or analog 1 input" ? Fill in above chapter with all IO

... - still unsolved

* Want to display / actuate / ... according to ...

* examples of input voltages => desired / shown value

* current .vemscfg (important, so we can review, and recommend changes to it, or we can help make an updated config more applicable)

EGT = K-thermocouple, trivial

The K-thermocouple: green cable

* green wire to green

* white wire to white

With any suitable contact : or a fancy K-thermo connector pair is most professional, and definitely justified if it will be disconnected often.

Duty LED

Since the boost, PWM0, PWM4 outputs already have protection diode towards +12V supply

* verify with DVM diode measurement, should show < 880mV if black probe connected to +12V pin, red probe connected to output, the device must be OFF, POWERED DOWN during this

* you can connect a LED (any color) with 510 .. 2k7 series resistor (1k or 2k4 should be good starting point) between output and +12V and see the duty on the LED

** Do NOT connect LED without series resistor, it will blow up

** do NOT connect the LED in reverse (LED would be damaged). Anode to +12V. Cathode (often has longer "flag" inside LED body) to switched output.

** connected to a DVM, diode mode, the LED should not be damaged even if measured in reverse. A RED color LED has lower opening voltage, and might light up (albeit dim, check this in dark) if connected with black probe=cathode, red probe=anode.

*** Green, yellow, blue, orange or white or other visible color LEDs usually do NOT light up, because opening voltage is higher. Also, some red LEDs are multiple (eg. 3 or 4) LEDs in series, those will also not light up in either direction.

The operation of such a LED is independent of device fw configuration, and also useful for verification.
