We are rebuilding Porsche cariera 911, year 1991, NA 3.6 air cooled motor

(H6), fuel - methanol, ITBs, injectors.

Any info about trigger is highly appreciated.

Primary trigger

* VR or HALL ???

* pattern ?

Secondary trigger

* VR or HALL ???

* pattern ?

On-site measurement is very easy and recommended in any case.

If you find 2 pins that show same resistance (usually between 300..1400 Ohm ; take note of actual reading) in both directions, that is VR sensor. Otherwise HALL.

----

We like to equip it with Vems engine management:

* 2x WO2 sensors

* 6 x EGT sensors

* I-button

* SD-logger

Basic sensors:

* MAP sensor

* IAT sensor

* TPS

* cylinder head temeperature (instead of coolant temp)

** lower than 150C right ?

* oil temperature

extra analog inputs:

* presure

* oil fan switch

* crank & cam sensors

* fuel pressure

* fuel pump switch

----

ITB - idle air

Are you feeding controlled idle air

* with 1 PWM solenoid valve via 6 small tubes ?

** measured resistance= ... ???

* or 1 actuator acting on the ITB-shaft (or stop-point) ?

** or 2 actuators ? (if so, this solution requires the most care and attention)

* or 0 actuator, relying only on mechanical stops / screws ?

----

[local search for Porsche] - Peep himself installed more than 20 Porsches (but maybe not this type), and perhaps someone else knows even better.

The preparation (finding out VR/HALL) is the easier part; do some measurements, searching, and hang around ChatViaIrc
