Small update from Jakob is coming. Basically he has used a GT1 Hall-sensor and 4 teeth on the front hub instead of the HEI module and the engine finally runs as it should. But almost immediately after he got it running he has lost the wideband lambda sensor, he has tried two different LSU4 now and they both read 12.4% and nothing happens when you change the calibration constant. What could've caused this ?

The specifics of his installation can be better described by Jakob. Essentially there is an adapter harness, and grounds look alright.

Small update from Jakob is coming. Basically he has used a GT1 Hall-sensor and 4 teeth on the front hub instead of the HEI module and the engine finally runs as it should.

But almost immediately after he got it running he has lost the wideband lambda sensor, he has tried two different LSU4 now and they both read 12.4% (under what conditions?) and nothing happens when you change the calibration constant.

* What could've caused this ?

* it is unclear what it showed before (eg. maybe it was calibrated fine... maybe sg else)

** what should it show ? Do not expect the LSU4 to show 20.9% in the exhaust. (that's why it is calibrated in "free air" = not in exhaust.) Exhaust is not "free air" even if engine is stopped. If engine is off (or idles using extreme cams), it can show 12.4% and still be OK.

** normally LSU4 is installed in exhaust only after engine has started and idles. Since he tried 2 LSU4, it's unlikely that both LSU4 are killed (from liquid gasoline) already

The specifics of his installation can be better described by Jakob (including mcd/mct dump, and firmware). Essentially there is an adapter harness, and grounds look alright.
