I have 4 ignition coils from a BMW 318i E36 that I'm planing to use, but I'm not sure how to connect them.

They have 3 pins: 1, 4a and 15 and I measure 0,7Ohm between pin 1 and 15.

Q. Are they like the coils from a A4, showed on IgnitionPage/COP?

Q. If they are like the ones from a A4 and pin 15 has to be connected to Vbatt, should "IGN_OUT" then be inverted (MY_CONF += -D IGN_OUT_INVERTED)?

* you need noninverted for all simple coils (that has no driver inside, other end must be connected to +14V). That means standard ign_out=70 (almost everyone uses this configuration)

* ign_out=71 (instead of 70) inverts the ign out (very rarely needed, for some ignition modules, often a pullup is needed too), but take care (use table testing !!!) because the RC that resets the i259 might act for longer than the initialization sequence for the i259 (so output is resetted, which means active in this case => dangerous). In that case it can be fixed with firmware or hardware mod. To drive active module with activehigh signal I used the signal from the IGBT gate directly.
