*2005-01-03 - Got the sample MPXH6400 MAP-sensors i ordered, got it working with genboard, Need to make a table for megatune now..

The measured pressure is a bit high.. local weather site says 985 hpa, while the genboard said 102kpa .. Is it possible to change the offset the opposite direction?

Firmware wishes, more or less needed for this car.

* Exhaust backpressure input

* both EGT channels on LCD, best would be with current and max reading

* Extra temperature inputs, most important is for automatic transmission temp

* EGT based enrichment (if egt goes over a configured value, start adding more fuel to cool.. With the automatic transmission, the engine goes on full load for the full quarter mile, more fuel is needed to keep the engine from detonating, currently tuned to run too rich off the line)

* Cold engine ignition retard, Maybe not too important with the adv. based idle control.

* some sort of check engine light/warning light, configurable for different temperatures and pressures, also when trigger/camsync problems appear, maybe with one led that says "hey, check your LCD", and one huge lamp / loud summer that says "switch off now, somethings is blowing"

Im going to help the owner of this car to get in running with a V3 board.

This car is currently using a MSD 6 ignition system and distributor.

*Engine spec.

** 4cyl, 2.3L 16V volvo B23

* H-profile aftermarket rods

* A big switzer turbo, from a truck or something.

[Engine bay picture]

*Trigger setup:

** main trigger will be a new pulley on the crankshaft, aluminium with 2 8mm (square or round), 8mm high iron pieces, to trig a Honeywell GT1 sensor

** cam trigger will be easy, going to change one of the M8 bolts on the adjustable camsprocket to a longer one, a GT1 will be used here too.

*Fuel setup

** The car is currently running a Haltech F3. Publish the maps and we'll make the 3-liner (perl-script) to convert to j[] table. Note that l[] table is an input. Formula is: j(RPM, MAP)= injector_ms(RPM,MAP) * const / req_fuel * lambda(RPM,MAP) / MAP

** At first, we will start the engine using 900cc injectors, later swapping to 1600cc, this will probably need sequential injection to keep fuelamount low enough at idle rpm
