Kicad

Usually routing PCB layout is made manually or semi-auto, often using the special "follow-me" features of Kicad.

* however, in some cases (or during certain stages) autorouter can be useful.

* In the old days any affordable autorouter was all too painful, suboptimal and tiring to tune to yield any benefit (for any but the smallest PCB-s), but the usefulness keeps growing (the set of cases when yield is positive).

* [Freerouting install on Debian/Ubuntu]

** in short: add jh.jar and netx.jar, but disable webstart (countrary to instructions)
