Traction Control

The Traction control function main task is to be control the amount of introduced slip (or re-gaining traction) by applying torque reduction actions (fuel enrich, ignition retard or cut fuel/spark).

Traction control settings:

Input Channel Used: Select what input channel you have wired your button to. Remember to use input with pullup to 5V.
Undriven wheel: Select the speed input connected to the undriven wheel, recommended: wheel speed 2.
Slip unit:

  • % Relative: Slip = (speed of undriven wheel)/(speed of driven wheel).
  • Km/h Absolute, Slip = (speed of undriven wheel)-(speed of driven wheel).
Slip hard cut: Select desired action on torque reduction cut either cut fuel (skip injection events) or cut spark (skip spark events, normally not recommended).
Min undriven wheelspeed TC enable: Minimum speed of undriven wheel for TC on.

Torque reduction Fuel Enrich:

Minimum slip before adding fuel: Minimum amount of slip allowed before adding fuel.
Maximum slip for max enrich: Maximum slip where max enrichment is applied (anything above this keeps max enrich).
Fuel Enrichment at max slip: Fuel Enrichment at max slip %.

Torque reduction Ignition Retard:

Minimum slip before adding retard: Minimum amount of slip allowed before adding retard.
Maximum slip for max retard: Maximum slip where max retard is applied (anything above this keeps max retard).
Ignition Retard at max slip: Ignition Retard at max slip %.

Torque reduction Fuel/Spark Cut:

Minimum slip for min cut: Minimum amount of slip allowed before adding min cut (below this cut is zero %)
Maximum slip for max cut: Maximum slip where max cut % is applied (anything above this keeps max cut %)
Fuel/Spark cut at min slip: Minimum cut % at min slip.
Fuel/Spark cut at max slip: Maximum cut % at max slip.
